Hygge is all about simplicity – the joy of achieving simple cosiness in the home. And isn’t that something we all want in our lives? Heck yes! The hygge way of life is all about making people feel comfortable, cosy, and enjoy the simple things. Through being minimalist, it in turn allows you to enjoy what you have to its fullest. But doesn’t that sound much like another trending social media craze? If you haven’t heard of Marie Kondo and her now-infamous KonMari – it’s time to become part of the “Tidying Up” revolution! In short, the KonMari method is about giving your house a jolly good tidying up, going through items one-by-one and only keeping those which ‘spark joy’. By the end of a long session of KonMari-ing, you will have no doubt picked up items you haven’t seen in years, eBayed a huge portion of clutter, and discovered a suddenly much more minimalist look to the home. So, once our homes are suitably minimalist, clean, tranquil, tidy, hygge’d and KonMari’d, what’s left to do?
