It’s a fresh crisp New Year and with it has arrived a fresh crisp nip to the air – BRRRRR! But fear not fillies, faux fur is your friend and it’s utterly fab when it adorns fierce accessories so hot they will melt away the impending cold. So join Leigh as she goes for a New Year ramble around Manchester looking furry good indeed…

It seems that the fluffy stuff is here to stay FDJ LDN fashionistas and I for one am filled with a fuzzy feeling about this. Especially when it appears cuddled up all over fun accessories that can add a cute and surprisingly wearable edge to any outfit. When perusing possible finishing touches to my new and highly loved Christmas pressie, my Oasis camel coat, the other day for a wander around Manchester’s Northern Quarter, I decided it was the perfect time to unleash the beast and make the ultimate fashion faux fur pas! Yup, time to layer up fur festooned finery in the shape of a hat, bag and sunglasses. Yes, you read right, SUNGLASSES!

For a cosy and comfy jaunt around the various coffee shops of NQ on a bright day, my new Pretavoir sunnies were the perfect partner for winter sun and my lingering NYE hangover! These deliciously kitsch yet classically cool Erika Ray Bans are flocked in sumptiously soft velvety-ness PLUS are currently on sale, so I felt suitably smug at snapping up a bit of a bargain! The velvet mirrored style are also available in uber fun shades of red, yellow and my personal favourite, azure – perfect for when the sun is in perma-residence (hopefully) this summer!

The second of my trio of fluffy fancies is my brand new LYDC Bags Faux Fur Handbag, which has been my staple accessory this festive period! Not only is the irresistible mix of supple mock croc leather and yummy furry goodness a fashion forward show-stopper, BUT this bag is one that delivers on substance as well as style. Honestly, it’s like a Tardis, effortlessly ferrying about my life during my recent Panto tour. I could stow jazz shoes, thermos flask, change of clothes and my makeup without compromise! The layout of the interior of the bag is fantastic with a perfect pocket for everything and a handy divider pocket in the middle. As well as the option to chicly tote this lovely around the town on your elbow, it also has a totes handy adjustable longer strap for hands-free freedom! Now that’s what I call a furry friend!

And what piece of purrrrfect perfection could top off this look? Why that fashionista favourite – the fur pom-pom beanie of COURSE! I loathe nothing more than cold ears, so I love nothing more than a good hat, of which I have a wide variety. So this cute and cuddly number has been my go-to to beat the winter blues. I have seen many of these pom-pomtastic pretties about but few deliver on price and product than this beaut from Miss Beaut. You can be ahead of the game by nabbing this thick snuggly beanie from this awesome Insta boutique for a steal-worthy £12.99, so grab one before they bounce off!

My key bit of FDJ LDN style advice this 2016? If you are looking to fluff up a fatigued wardrobe, unleash your inner animal and add a bit tactile texture to your look with your accessories! GRRRRRRRREAT!
