February 14th – the designated day of the year to show your chosen Valentine how much you love them…and fancy the literal pants off them! And what is a guaranteed way to get your love bird’s heart racing? Cracking out the sassy AF lingerie of course! Nothing can ramp up the romance like something racy and lacy in the form of new underwear. But what if you feel a little less than confident to “dare to bare”? I know few things part me from my comfy Bridget Jones-like pants! Well, I may have found my new underwear go to and I want to share it with you, fellow fillies. I featured this range last year (click here to have a reminder) and it turns out – it wasn’t a Valentines flash in the pan, it is a permanent love affair. Bluebella Lingerie is (to quote one of my fave films “Crazy Stupid Love”) the perfect mix of cute and sexy, and most importantly, is utterly wearable. Trust me – nothing can kill a mood quicker than feeling like a trussed up turkey, with cups digging in, bulging out in all the wrong places, the material being all kinds of itchy or your bottom eating the delicate floss of a brief! This is the exact opposite of what you are trying to achieve. You want siren sex appeal that goes off the scale STAT. This is where Bluebella beautifully tiptoes the tricky tightrope between oh la la and oooooh that’s comfy! Plus they come in at a more respectable price than a lot of other high-end, or even lower end, underwear brands – ranging from £15 to £38, with a reasonable cup/back size selection to boot too.

This year I am opting for pieces from the Adelia range: a sumptuous and sinful symphony of red cordovan eyelash lace, black mesh and a tricksy bit of harness wear which always seems to add a cheeky wink of naughty to lingerie (plus it adds a bit of oh so important, erm, support to the tar-tar’s).

The Adelia bra is just delightful – a soft black mesh cup underwired bra adorned with delicate red lace contrasts with the triple straps at the side and the criss-cross at the front. It feels seductive on and would look great under a Valentine’s day outfit such a peeking through the V of a low buttoned silky shirt or underneath a black lace top for effortless naughtiness that doesn’t feel too try hard. It feels luxe – from the quality of the materials, the ease of the fit and support offered and the little details like the gold hardware.

You can choose to either opt for the matching Adelia briefs, which make this the perfect combo…or if you’re feeling a little “extra” this Valentines day, go for the Adelia Suspender Thong for all out sass. What I love about these are firstly that they are a high waisted, and high waisted is a girl’s BFF, coming in at your narrowest point therefore making your waist look smaller PLUS they cover your tummy, smoothing it alllllllll out. WIN!!! Secondly, I like that instead of having to get a suspender belt, then get a thong or briefs – this is a one-stop shop, giving you the feel but none of the faff of constantly having to rearrange two competing pieces of underwear. It makes the whole thing a lot more streamlined and negates all kind of lumps, bumps and bunching. Hurrah! Plus…can we talk about thong widths? Well this one, dear filly, is one of the good ones with enough material to serve its purpose at the front, as well as tapering to the thong at the back. DOUBLE hurrah! So all you need to do is pop on those stockings, if you so desire. Hellooooooooo bombshell!
