Teatox…Teatox…Teatox…it’s a term that has been popping up over social media and Insta feeds aplenty and has proved hard to ignore. So when I was approached by the lovely lot at Slimming Solutions to try theirs, I jumped at the chance. With a slinky Bridesmaid dress to fit into and the prospect of a cheeky lil’ holiday in the offing straight after, I was keen to find out whether just by supping on a tea day and evening would help me reach my goals of feeling a little bit sleeker and sassier within two weeks. Did I succeed? Click this way and discover whether this Teatox is fad…or FAB!
The Slimming Solution Teatox programme is as simple as, well, making a brew really! As part of your two week Teatox you drink the Daytime Blend every day (as close to waking as possible) and the Evening Blend every other night (last thing before bed and 30 mins after your last meal of the day). These blends contain two different, special herbal concoctions that claim to detox and cleanse the body, boost the old metabolism and beat the dastardly bloat whilst reducing hunger pangs. Now that’s quite the claim! But one I was willing to put to the test.
It is recommended that do the Teatox alongside Slimming Solution’s online Clean Eating plan to get optimum results, which is REALLY handy as a ready to go guide. However I was already in clean eating mode on the lead up to the “Big Wedding/Holiday Bonanza” (yup, that’s the snazzy title I came up for it), so used the Teatox to support that and help boost my last two week push before D Day (or Dress Day).
I found the plan easily fitted in around my lifestyle or that I could adapt it slightly to fit my needs. For instance, if I didn’t have the time to leisurely sip upon my hot Daytime Blend Teatox tea because I had an insane 5:30am call time on set, I simply brewed it the night before, popped it in the fridge and hey presto! Iced tea on the go yo! I loved the little bit of chill out time I enjoyed with my Evening Blend (it was my favourite of the two blends) as I could relax with my feet up with a bit of crap telly – bliss! I tended to add a dash of lemon to my teas (which tasted a lot better than I had expected) for a bit of extra taste and health benefits, but you can also choose to sweeten your tea with honey too.
The Teatox was no hardship at all to be honest! I had heard horror stories from friends and the various bowels of the internet that with some Teatox’s the effects can be, erm, somewhat violent let’s just say?! But I am happy to report that no such reactions visited me in the middle of the night or early morning – BIG PHEW! All I noticed was the positives.
After two weeks I felt “cleaner” and lighter in myself and found that even though I had been eating cleaner already, that I felt healthier and continued to make smarter choices foodwise. I also noticed that my stomach was a lot less bloated and a lot more defined. Clothes were not as tight around the stomach or waist and I had lost a couple of inches off both, as well as few pounds. HUZZAH! Also, my skin was better too which was a nice bonus! Bizarrely however, I did notice that I was a LOT hungrier in the mornings. Perhaps this was due to the speeding up of my metabolism?
Would I recommend the Slimming Solutions Teatox? Yes, I think I most certainly would. But you can not just rely on that to get you the results you want. As part of a healthy eating plan and exercise, it supported that and gave me that last little boost before the wedding and my Spanish escape. It makes the perfect addition to our “New Year. Fresh Start” life hacks for sure, fillies (Catch up on the rest of them HERE). Be sure to visit Slimming Solutions for a plethora of, well, slimming solutions!
Have you tried this Teatox or any others? How did you find it? We would love to hear about it in the “Comments” section below.
Until next time fillies,
