Nothing can put a bit of pep in our step than going for a spa treatment, but after checking out our bank balances and shrieking in horror, we think that may well be off the cards for a bit! But fear not, we have found the ideal product that will give you a spa-tastic experience in your own home whenever you want longggg into the New Year. It is quite a well-known yet pricey fact the A-listers LOVE a good facial, with many opting for an Oxygen one to achieve glowing, radiant and plumply youthful visages. Now, last time I checked in the mirror, I sadly was not J-Lo BUT thanks to those fabulous folk at Exuviance, you too can experience a little bit of the Jet-Set with their newly launched product, their Bionic Oxygen Facial! Huzzah FDJ LDN fillies! Now, as you might know – I have become quite the fan of the Exuviance products, such as their ColourBlend Skin-Caring Foundation which we featured in our “NYEssentials” post (Click here to read all about our top New Year picks). So when I heard this product was launching, let’s just say I was the eagerest of beavers to try it!

Exuviance’s ethos is to create products “Where Science Meets Spa” and this product certainly lives up to its tagline! I was fascinated as to how I could give myself an Oxygen facial at home, let alone in the 5 minutes the product says it works in. Fantastically, it is gentle enough for those with sensitive skin yet powerful enough to brighten, restore suppleness and radiance, supporting collagen levels whilst detoxifying. It can be used 3-4 times a week, which is perfectly do-able as it’s so easy and quick to use! I have mainly been using it of a night after cleansing, but, on the odd morning I feel my skin needs a pick-me-up, I have grabbed this. If I have got a big night-out planned, I will pop this on before doing my make-up for an extra glow too. It has also become a very welcome and permanent part of my Sunday pamper session (part of my New Year resolution to myself is to enjoy my rest days more). In other words, no matter what time of the day or the need I want to address, this product has become my first port of call. Now, if I had to book in for a professional facial every time I wanted the results I have seen with this Oxygen Facial, I would have had to remortage the house by now! But judging by the size of bottle, the cost per use of this will make my bank manager very happy indeed.

The product is exceedingly easy to use and you don’t need to have gone to Beauty School to become an expert! Simply cleanse your face in your preferred method and then wet your face and neck with warm water. Pump a generous amount of the lush smelling liquid onto your fingertips and massage all over (I usually do this until I see that the clear liquid has started to turn white on my skin). Then simply leave the mask to do it’s magic. And boy is it something magical! The first time I used this I was transfixed to the mirror!!!

Before your eyes the once clear liquid will thicken and froth! I will liken the look to when Mrs Doubtfire sticks her face in the cake and has a frosting facial – the effect is really quite something! But just let those bubbles do their business.  They’re busy plumping your skin with Molecular Oxygen to add zing to your skin! As you can see from the photo below the mask and its froth completely disappear into your skin, delivering the Oxygen with it. You can feel the bubbling on your skin, busy unclogging your pores, stimulating vital cell energy. As well as Oxygen, the mask is packed with a Bionic blend of Polyhydroxy Acids (PHAs), Gluconolactone and Lactobionic Acid  – which are wordy words for ingredients that will help improve wrinkles, pigmentation and those pesky fine lines that start to creep in, refining the texture of skin too. It also contains Cucumber Fruit Extract, Vitamin C, Amino Acids, Proteins and Lipids, so your skin is being lavished with lushness.

After the foam has dissipated, rinse your face thoroughly. Once you have dried your face, you will want to take a few moments to admire your luxurious looking visage! I found that after using the facial that any redness I had had before use had completely disappeared, any flakiness had gone and my skin was left looking crystal clear and like I had given myself the best strobing makeup! I was left perfectly poreless and I found any product I put on afterwards felt like it was optimised. I was so impressed with the results, I could have used it MORE than 3-4 times a week. I can declare that it is a total skin transformer! In fact, I decided to put this product through a further test. I used it on a burn I got on my hand (darn oven), after reading that Oxygen is used in hospitals in the treatment of burns. I found that my poorly paw healed in record time. Doubly impressed right here!

The whole idea behind our “New Year. Fresh Start” series was to find easy and quick ways to upgrade our v.2016 selves and with this product on our shelves, 2016 is going be a breath of fresh air for our skin. In fact, it’s going to be a breeze!
